Pricing FAQ

What moves the price

How much does a UK Responsible Person actually cost?
Our pricing is a one-off fee plus an ongoing recurring fee. For medical devices, the one-time fee runs from around £750 (Class I) up to £4,500 (Class III), then an annual RP retainer fee from £450-£2,000 depending on class. For cosmetics, the UKRP appointment maintenance fee runs £250-£450 per brand per year, with a per-product setup fee (CPSR, SCPN, PIF) on top. The main cost drivers are risk class or formulation complexity, how complete your existing technical documentation is, and how many products are in your portfolio — see the tables above for the full breakdown.
Why is pricing split into a setup fee and a maintenance fee?
It mirrors how the underlying regulatory role actually works. Getting your product or brand registered and your UKRP appointed is a one-off piece of work — the setup fee. Keeping that appointment live, staying the regulator's point of contact and handling ongoing UKRP duties is a recurring responsibility — the maintenance fee. Splitting the two keeps the cost of each transparent, rather than bundling a year's service into one upfront number.
Why is there a range instead of a fixed price?
Every product is different — device risk class, formulation complexity, how complete your existing documentation is, and how many products are in your portfolio all affect the work involved. We confirm your exact price in writing after reviewing your product at the free consultation stage.
Are these prices inclusive of VAT?
All figures shown are exclusive of VAT. Your written quote will show the VAT-inclusive total.
Is there a discount for multiple products or services?
Yes — portfolios of multiple products, or clients using more than one of our services, are usually quoted at a lower combined rate. Ask us for a portfolio quote.
Are there any hidden or ongoing fees I should know about?
No. Every ongoing cost (such as the annual UKRP fee) is shown above and confirmed in your written quote — there are no additional charges beyond what's agreed upfront.
