UK Responsible Person for cosmetics brands
Every cosmetic product sold in the UK must have a UK-based Responsible Person under the UK Cosmetics Regulation. We take on that role and the compliance work that comes with it, so your products can go on sale legally.
Examples of the cosmetics products we act as UK Responsible Person for — skincare, makeup and haircare alike.
Full cosmetics compliance, handled for you

We submit and manage your product notifications on the Submit Cosmetic Product Notification (SCPN) portal.
CPSR safety reports
Cosmetic Product Safety Reports prepared or reviewed by a qualified safety assessor for every product in your range.
Product Information File (PIF)
We compile and maintain your PIF, ready to be produced to UK enforcement authorities within 48 hours if requested.
Labelling compliance
Review of INCI listings, mandatory warnings, allergen declarations and best-before/PAO marks against UK requirements.
Claims substantiation
Support evidencing marketing claims so they meet the UK's common criteria for cosmetic claims.
What the Responsible Person is legally required to do
Your UK Responsible Person must ensure the PIF is compiled and kept up to date, notify products via SCPN before sale, ensure labelling meets UK requirements, monitor the product on the market and report any serious undesirable effects (cosmetovigilance), and be the contact point for the UK enforcement authority (Office for Product Safety and Standards). This applies whether you're an established EU brand extending into the UK, or launching a new brand from anywhere in the world. The underlying legal duties are set out in the Cosmetic Products Enforcement Regulations 2013.
